Our History
From Pioneer Hall to Dinkytown.
The etymology of the name Gophermods. Casey (founder) began building custom game controllers while a freshmen at the University of Minnesota. We needed a website to upload videos and instructions on how to use these extremely complicated controllers and he thought, well since the mascot is “Goldy” the Gopher and we are “modding” why not Gopher+Mods and that’s how Gophermods was born.
