Meet the Store Manager of Woodbury – Emma P.
Hi! I’m Emma, and I’m excited to share I have recently been promoted to store manager in 2022. I’ve been a part of the Gophermods team since 2020, working as a repair technician and helping customers with their device repair needs.
As a self-proclaimed tech enthusiast, I’m always fascinated by how devices work and how we can repair them. It’s exciting to keep up-to-date on the latest technology trends and advancements, and I’m always eager to learn new repair techniques and methods to make our services even better.
I truly enjoy what I do, and it’s amazing to be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering high-quality repair services to our customers. Every day is a new adventure, and I love the challenge of figuring out how to fix a device and make it work like new again.

What’s the one thing you wished your customers knew?
Okay this is going to be long winded, but! I wish our customers knew is how much their appreciation and support means to us. It truly makes our day when a customer takes the time to tell us how much they appreciate the work we do, or when they recommend us to their friends and family. Not only that, but when customers name drop us in reviews or provide positive feedback, it means a lot to our repair technicians who work hard to provide quality service.
Additionally, I want our customers to know that we prioritize transparency and honesty in our business practices. We understand that device repairs can be a stressful and frustrating experience, but we strive to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible for our customers.
How long has our repair shop been operating in Woodbury and why this location?
Gophermods has been serving the Woodbury area since 2013. It was our first store actually that we did after our mail-in depot. We started off in Cottage Grove, thanks to the City of Cottage Grove putting us up in a business incubator at the old city hall. If it wasn’t for their generosity, we probably would have never started opening retail locations.
We ultimately ended up at our current spot was because of the store’s proximity to some of the largest carriers in the area. This allows us to receive referrals from these carriers, as well as send our customers to them for any service-related needs they may have.

What do you enjoy most about working at Woodbury?
Working at the Woodbury location has been an enjoyable experience for me for several reasons. Firstly, the location’s proximity to many different shops and restaurants makes it extremely convenient for me and my colleagues. We can easily grab a cup of coffee at Dunn Bros or a bite to eat during our breaks, and the ability to take a stroll around the pond out back provides a welcome break from work.
Another aspect that I particularly enjoy is the customer base. It is always refreshing to hear when someone mentions that their “Mom Group” swears by Gophermods. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that we have built a loyal and satisfied customer base who trust us to provide quality repair services for their devices.
Overall, working at the Woodbury location has been a fantastic experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work in such a welcoming and thriving environment.
What are the operating hours and when can clients bring in devices for service?
Our repair shop is open to serve our customers from Monday to Thursday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and on Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We understand that our customers have busy schedules, and we strive to make ourselves available during convenient hours to accommodate their needs.
It’s important to note that we are closed on Saturdays and Sundays so that our team can recharge and be ready to tackle any tech challenges during the week. We want our team to be at their best to provide the highest quality repair services possible to our customers.
Can you provide an overview of the repair process for a first-time customer?
We totally get that device repairs can be super stressful, especially if you’re a first-time customer. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Our goal is to make the repair process as simple and transparent as possible.
When you come to our Woodbury location, our techs will examine your device thoroughly to figure out what’s going on. Then, we’ll give you a quote and explain the repair process to you in clear and simple terms. We understand that not everyone is a tech expert, so we want to make sure you’re comfortable with everything that’s happening.
Once you give us the okay, our techs will work hard to fix your device as quickly as possible, while still making sure it’s a high-quality repair.
When your device is all fixed up, we’ll let you know it’s ready for pickup. But before you leave the store, we’ll fully test your device with you to make sure it’s functioning properly. And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
